A 20-year-old university student has purchased an $8.7 million harbourside home in Sydney. 

Julia Cooney, 20, the daughter of Sydney to Hobart yacht race winner Jim Cooney, recently snapped up the Darling Point home – making quite the entrance to the city’s competitive housing market.

Ms Cooney, who is studying medicine, is best known for being the youngest female to win Sydney to Hobart line honours.
