Urgent recall alert for Woolworths Barossa Fine Foods sliced ham over listeria contamination

BREAKING NEWS: Urgent recall alert for sliced ham sold at Woolworths and IGA over listeria contamination


Two popular ham products sold at Woolworths supermarkets have been recalled over listeria contamination.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand sent out the urgent alert on Monday for the 100g Barossa Fine Foods ham products which ‘may cause illness if consumed’. 

‘Customers are urged not to eat them and anyone who purchased the No Added Nitrite Ham slices with the use-by date of November 3, or the Double Smoked Ham pack with the use-by date of November 11 is eligible for a full refund. 

The No Added Nitrite range is sold at Woolworths in New South Wales, IGAs in the ACT, South Australia and Western Australia and at independent grocery stores across NSW, the ACT, SA and WA. 

The Double Smoked Ham product has been available at IGAs in NSW, ACT, Queensland, SA and WA, as well as Foodland SA and Independent grocery stores in Victoria and the ACT.
