‘The Arborio rice we used in two batches of our Happy Tummies Vegetable Risotto may contain glass,’ the company said in a food recall notice.

‘There was an issue at the Arborio rice manufacturers where glass has entered the production process and was not detected.’

Rafferty’s Garden media spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the recall was a ‘precautionary measure’ and only ‘relates to one product’.

The spokeswoman was unaware of the total number of products that are affected.

If Happy Tummies Vegetable Risotto has been eaten, the company advises parents to seek medical advice as it ‘may cause injury if consumed’.

Customers who have the affected vegetable risotto packages are being told to return them for cash refunds.

This is not the first recall concern for the company which sells pouches of organic puree.

In 2008 Rafferty’s Garden made a voluntary recall of their products after a small percent of the caps were not sealed properly.
