There are ‘serious welfare concerns’ for a teenager who has not been seen since he got off a bus over a week ago.  

Richard Tu, 17, was last seen hopping off the bus in Armadale, in Perth’s southeast, at 9.15pm on Monday, March 31. 

Western Australian Police are urgently seeking help from the public in locating Richard.

The teen boarded the 529 bus in Cockburn at about 9pm and disembarked 15 minutes later at Stop 12991 on Armadale Road after Seville Drive. 

Police believe he may still be in Armadale or surrounding areas and may be using public transport. 

Authorities have urged anyone in the area to check their CCTV or dashcam footage and contact police if they see anything relevant. 

Richard is believed to be approximately 175cm tall with a slim build. 

He has short black hair and brown eyes and is believed to be wearing black framed glasses, a black puffer jacket, a blue t-shirt, a dark baseball cap and Adidas sneakers.

He may also be carrying a black Nike bag. 

Police have urged anyone with information relating to Richard’s whereabouts or who may have been travelling on the same bus as him to immediately contact police on 131 444.
