Uri Geller claims he’s discovered the reason for his ‘psychic powers’ after undergoing a brain scan (and insists ‘aliens’ are to thank)

Mystic and celebrity spoon-bender Uri Geller has claimed he’s discovered the answer to his psychic powers after a scan revealed a mysterious ‘implant’ in his brain that he believes was put there by ‘aliens’ when he was a child.

The 77-year-old underwent an MRI brain scan at a hospital near his home in Tel Aviv last month where the unusual embryo-shaped ‘implant’ was revealed, buried in white matter.

‘Doctors had no explanation for the sack-like container but said it was not dangerous and it has been there for years,’ said Uri.

He claimed the object is embedded in matter that helps speed up the transmission of electrical signals between neurons.

‘Up until the age of six I was an ordinary kid then after that I was extraordinary.

‘Something was activated in me,’ said Uri, who believes a powerful ‘alien’ encounter took place near his home.

He recalled: ‘I lived in a small apartment building on the third floor of a four-storey block.

‘Across the street there was a huge Arabic garden, with a structure in it with arches.

‘I used to sneak into the garden through a bent bit of the fence to play there alone in the overgrown grass overlooked by tall trees and bushes.

‘One day I heard kittens crying and went to look for them.

‘Suddenly about four metres in front of me was a sphere of light about three metres across.

‘It was so bright, pulsating like a living entity. As I stared in shock at this orb, a ray of light shot out of the sphere and hit my forehead.

‘It was so strong, it pushed me backwards into the grass. I can’t remember how long I lay there but I do remember running home to tell my mother, who thought I was making it up or dreaming.

‘Shortly after that incident I was in the kitchen eating soup and when I lifted the spoon to my mouth, it bent and broke. I quickly realised I could bend other spoons.

‘Then in school I discovered I could read the minds of other kids and teachers.

‘I was not good at maths and would copy the answers by looking at the back of a pupil’s head and reading their mind.

‘I could also move the hands of the clock on the wall by focusing on it.

‘Some kids thought I was a freak or a witch. The teacher’s report at the end of the year, written in Hebrew, said ‘Uri demonstrates unusual abilities.’

As Uri grew up, he wondered whether his ‘alien’ encounter was responsible for his unusual powers.

‘Immediately after that experience I’d started drawing astronauts in little rockets. This was way before the first rocket, Sputnik, was launched into space in 1957.

‘I’d pretend shrubs outside my apartment were alien planets and imagine flying in a rocket through space and time. Was it my imagination or had I been given insight into something extraterrestrial in nature?’

Uri added: ‘When I became well known in Israel, I talked about my childhood experience telling people something unusual had happened.

‘I became more convinced that what had happened in the garden was related to my abilities because other people didn’t have the same abilities.

‘I now believe those ideas of the rocket and alien planets came to me through downloaded knowledge from the laser beam that imprinted them in my mind.

‘I received something from that shining orb in that garden.’

Uri claimed an Israeli neurologist confirmed that a high-powered laser beam would not have damaged his skin if something had been implanted in his brain.

He said: ‘I have been tested so many times over the years to find the cause of my unusual abilities.

‘Tests in radiation labs where they build atomic bombs, at the American naval weapons centre, by MI5, MI6, in a university in Japan, a hospital in France, at the Stanford Research Institute, and none have found any reason for them.

‘Recently, I felt a force, something powerful outside of myself, nudging me to discover something about my brain, so I did the MRI scan.

‘The findings gave me an answer that I have been looking for, proof there’s something in my brain that I believe I received through a ray of light, a laser beam, all those years ago. I believe an alien source gave me my powers and energy. It woke me up.’

His experience has inspired him to create his first oracle deck, Uri Geller The Extraterrestrial Oracle to help people communicate with ‘aliens’.

‘The inspiration for these oracle cards began on a warm evening in the garden in Tel Aviv when that extraordinary phenomenon changed my life forever as a young boy,’ said Uri.

‘I was engulfed by this luminous ball of psychic energy, unlike anything I had ever experienced. That moment left a big mark on my soul and on my brain.

‘I believe it was the awakening of a profound connection to some type of higher realm of cosmic intelligence.

‘In the weeks and months following this unbelievable encounter I saw unusual symbols in my mind’s eye. These symbols felt deeply familiar yet entirely new and I’ve used them in my oracle.

‘They were imprinted into my brain and I saw them in my inner mind. They were not random shapes but messages from an extraterrestrial source that has guided and inspired me throughout my life.  These symbols continue to appear in my dreams.

‘Each one carries a piece of wisdom or a key to understanding the complexities of the universe. Perhaps they are also a way that aliens contact us.

‘Creating these oracle cards is a way of sharing my abilities. They will help others unlock their own latent abilities and talents to connect with the infinite potential of the cosmos.

‘More than a divination tool, they’re a gateway to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe. Every symbol in my deck has helped me through challenges, and ups and downs in my life.

‘Now I hope they’ll be a source of inspiration to others looking for clarity, direction and a deeper sense of purpose,’ concluded Uri.

The Uri Geller Extraterrestrial Oracle (£19.99) is out this month and published by Watkins Publishing
