US-based Home And Away star reveals the first thing she does every time she returns to Australia

She may not call Australia home any more, but there are some things about her homeland that Tammin Sursok just can’t do without.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the former Home and Away star, 41, admitted to having a consuming passion for coffee – so much so that she’s prepared to travel the globe for a decent cup.

Tammin who is based in Nashville, Tennessee, shared a clip, filmed from her point of view, of her hand outstretched as if to receive a cup.

The clip showed her at an airport and boarding a flight with her ‘coffee’ hand locked firmly in place.

The actress then touched down in Australia and walked the streets of Sydney, hand still raised.

She then walked into a café and picked up a takeaway cup that was waiting for her at the counter.

‘I just flew 9,208 miles to Australia,’ Tammin superimposed over the footage.

‘Over 20 hours of travel time to finally get a good cup of coffee.’

Tammin gushed about the quality of Australian coffee.

‘Guys you gotta do what you gotta do! Australian coffee is like no other. Do you agree??!’

Tammin’s followers were in firm agreement with her assessment.

‘I just moved to LA and wow I miss Aussie coffee!! Send help/Aussie coffee,’ one fan pleaded.

Another chimed in with a similar:  ‘From Melbourne, and anywhere I go, no one makes it better than here. It’s a big reason why I hate traveling I won’t enjoy the coffee.’

One crestfallen fan issued their disappointment that Tammin’s first Down Under ‘go-to’ wasn’t another Australian staple.

‘I was kinda hoping it was for a Bunnings sausage on bread,’ they wrote which elicited a laugh from Tammin.

The post comes after Tammin recently revealed a first date’s outrageous behaviour she thought was ‘gross.’

The Logie winner was speaking with TV host Scott Tweedie on her podcast The S**t Show, when she mentioned a disastrous dinner date she had when she was younger.

‘I’ve always made my own money but I thought this was so gross: I had a guy, that when the cheque came he got a highlighter out in two different colours and he itemised the bill,’ she claimed.

Her date then began to highlight what she ate and what he ate to total up the price for the each of them.

‘He was the blue highlighter and I was the pink one,’ she said.

‘(It was itemised) to the cent, we’re talking like 0.68 and back then, I’ll be honest, I probably expected (whether that was right or wrong) for the guy to pick up the cheque.’

'Guys you gotta do what you gotta do! Australian coffee is like no other. Do you agree??!,' Tammin captioned the post
