Usher applauds fans on Extra interview amid herpes lawsuit

He has been accused in court of infecting two women and one man with herpes.

But Usher’s legal drama looked like far from his mind as he applauded fans as he attended a taping of Extra in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The jolly singer gave them a clap before heading on for his interview on the popular entertainment show, going as far as to share a warm embrace with show host Mario Lopez.

The 38-year-old Burn star, who is accused of having sex with a man in a LA bathhouse, went for a casual cool look of dark varsity jacket, black cargo pants and trainers.

During his Extra interview he addressed the Las Vegas massacre, saying: ‘I am going to have a concert in Las Vegas very soon.’

He also said he was planning a tribute, adding: ‘That is how you respond to adversity, that is how you respond to negativity, with love… My heart goes out to them… The war is on hatred, we are love and we have to be that collectively.’

The Chattanooga, Tennessee native also addressed whether he will ever return to The Voice, saying: ‘I don’t think they will make an extra seat for me, but if they decided to add that fifth seat I will be there.’

Three people – two women and one man – have filed lawsuits against the singer to the tune of $80 million for allegedly being exposed to herpes after sexual encounters with Usher.

Laura Helm of Fulton County, Georgia, states in court papers filed in September that she is the ‘Jane Doe’ who alleged that Usher infected her with a sexually transmitted disease after the pair engaged in sexual relations on two separate occasions.

A man who only goes by John Doe said that he had sex with the Yeah star, real name Usher Raymond IV, in a spa in LA.

He filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court.

His third accuser, Quantasia Sharpton, said she filmed her alleged sex act with Usher and claims he knew he was being recorded, according to TMZ.

His attorney Zia Modabber told TMZ in September: ‘Usher will defend himself vigorously in court against these opportunistic claims and we will not comment further on private legal matters.’

In July, documents leaked online alleged that Usher has been a carrier of the virus since 2009 or 2010 and that he infected a partner with herpes in 2012.

The leaked documents also alleged that Usher paid the woman’s medical bills and settled what is alleged to be a civil suit for $1.1 million.

Usher married his current wife Grace Miguel in a small ceremony on the island of Cuba during Labor Day weekend in September 2015 after dating since 2009.

And they looked at ease as they enjoyed a romantic stroll to an ice cream parlour at the weekend.

Usher has two sons from his previous marriage to Tameka Raymond, Naviyd, eight, and nine-year-old Usher Raymond V.
