V8 Supercars star James Courtney has revealed a shock new career path after more than 20 years behind the wheel.
The Aussie motorosports racing driver, 44, announced he will be selling houses on the Gold Coast after joining McGrath real estate agents.
Speaking with 9News, Courtney revealed he ‘always had a massive interest in real estate’.
‘Real estate is actually my first real job, I guess now, because racing has been my whole life up until now,’ he explained.
Despite the change in jobs, the racing star admitted her won’t be retiring from motorsports just yet.
Courtney will end his contract with the Blanchard racing team following the 2025 season before continuing his real estate path full time.
‘I’m coming towards the end of the racing side of of my life and I saw this as a natural progression,’ he added.
‘I’ll finish this year and do next year and then then that’ll be it for me full time. So I’ve I’ve had a hugely successful career. Had a great time doing it all. And I want to end on my terms.’

The move could ultimately see James spending more time off the racetrack and with his wife Tegan and their newborn son, Kobe.
James and Tegan eloped in September 2022, and welcomed their first child together in October 2023.
It follows the newlyweds admitting even their closest friends had no idea they wed in secret until they announced their marriage on Instagram.
They exchanged vows in front of just a handful of people, including Tegan’s mother, James’ parents and his two children from his previous marriage.

‘We kept it quiet for a while then it started being not so quiet so I thought we better say something. It was just us two, the kids Zara and Cadel, my parents and Tegan’s mum,’ James told News.com.au.
‘You need to have witnesses there so we figured our mums would be the witnesses and we wanted the kids there because they are a big part of everything.’
Before dating Tegan, James enjoyed a short-lived romance Kyly Clarke, the ex-wife of retired Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke.
Kyly and James actually first met when they were children, before they later got back in contact via social media when their respective marriages ended.
It’s believed they ended their romance in December 2020.
