An Australian woman, who recently opted for vagina lasering, has spoken candidly about how the procedure not only helped with medical issues, it’s also supercharged her sex life.
Margarita Vlachos, a skin and product specialist from Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, originally had lasering in a bid to end ongoing problems caused by a leaky bladder but soon discovered the trendy treatment came with a host of other benefits.
The 51-year-old told Daily Mail Australia she’d been struggling with a host of gynaecological issues – which she suspects were caused by breech births – not long after she turned 47.

The 51-year-old has been happily married to Norbert for five years – a man 12 years her junior
‘My internals were feeling heavy and everything was just harder,’ she said.
‘Another issue was dryness which affected me in the bedroom, it’s just less natural and pleasurable when your body isn’t able to self-lubricate.
‘It’s hard to explain but it was a feeling of heaviness internally that would sometimes itch on external areas.’
Although the beauty expert has been married for five years now to Norbett, a man 12 years her junior, she recalled their early days together were difficult as she was besieged by endless urinary tract infections.
‘I was on antibiotics every few months, and that went on for a long time,’ she said.
‘My mother had a bladder lift and hers was unsuccessful. I thought I would have to go down that path.’
On her doctor’s recommendation, Margarita decided to trial the procedure as a way of managing both her bladder issue and urinary tract infections
The mum-of-two teens said she sought treatment eighteen months ago in the form of GynaeLase – a minimally invasive laser procedure that works by using photo thermal energy. It treats urinary stress, incontinence, laxity and dryness after menopause.
Heat from the laser causes immediate contraction of the collagen structure supporting the wall of the vagina and stimulates production of new collagen tissue, gradually strengthening the vaginal wall support.
As a result, the vaginal tissue begins strengthening, firming, and tightening the urethral and anterior vaginal wall that supports the bladder – stopping stress incontinence, reducing laxity and reducing prolapse.
The laser is also proven to stimulate new vaginal mucosa tissues and fibres increasing natural lubrication.
Vagina laser treatments are also backed by Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, with sister Khloe saying on her show that ‘in my household, all they do is talk about this vagina laser.’
On her doctor’s recommendation, Margarita decided to trial the procedure as a way of managing both her bladder issue and urinary tract infections.
After one 30 minute session, which she said was bearable pain-wise, the active sexagenarian noticed an immediate difference.
‘Everything felt a little bit lighter, I noticed everything was working better,’ she said.
After the second of her three scheduled treatments, Margarita said her sex life was like ‘wow!’
Wowed by the unexpected results, even ‘hubby was happy’, Margarita booked for the second of her three scheduled appointments.
‘I noticed a lot more after the first treatment.’
‘Everything felt higher, I just didn’t have that weighted down feeling.’
Another benefit of the procedure that helped her and Norbett’s sex life immeasurably was an increase in vaginal lubrication.
‘Everything was just getting better sexually – it was like ‘wow!’ she said.
Margarita said ‘hubby’ Norbett was definitely pleased with the results
Although Margarita is quick to point out her sex life ‘was good to start with’ post treatment she said she now experienced orgasms at a much quicker and more intense rate.
‘When I used to have orgasms it was a more external sensation; now it’s right up to my ribs.
‘It’s that internal stomach feeling again. So it’s very pleasurable for me. The sensation is so much stronger because everything is so much tighter.
‘And hubby has definitely noticed the difference in ‘strength’, Margarita giggled.
‘It’s so satisfying because everything is so much more sensitive for me. It’s fast and furious and just so easy for me.’

She’s since completed her third session of the $2900 three part treatment and believes her life couldn’t be more different.
‘I can run on the treadmill for as long as I like, I can sneeze without fear of any leakage.
‘It used to be in the back of my head all the time that if I was going to sneeze, I’d have to squeeze, but I don’t have that problem anymore.’
While the couple are both reaping the rewards of the surgery, Margarita stressed it’s something she felt was important to do for herself.
‘He’s definitely noticed the difference, and it’s great.’

With the onset of the menopause continuing to change her body, Margarita explained further treatments, or top ups, can help with ‘softening’.
‘If I feel like the problems are returning I can get maintenance treatment to help.
Although the procedure is gaining traction, Margarita offers this advice to women who may be considering vagina lasering as an option.
‘It’s made everything so much more pleasurable; everything feels like it’s working,’ she concluded.
