A mother who disappeared after failing to pick her kids up from school is feared dead, police have said.
Su Yi Liang, 37, was reported missing by her father on January 10 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and a desperate search for her has yielded evidence she is dead, police said Wednesday.
‘Although we are treating this file as a missing person’s investigation and hoping for the best, we have collected evidence that leads us to believe that we won’t find Ms. Liang alive,’ Constable Jason Doucette said in a statement.
‘We are asking anyone who may have had contact with her, or who has information about her activities leading up to January 10th, to contact our detectives,’ said Doucette.

The day after Liang’s disappearance, police found her car abandoned near a public golf course.
Officers located the grey electric 2014 BMW i3 at Cassiar and Charles Street near the Rupert Park Pitch & Putt.
Cops executed a search warrant at Liang’s residence in the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood and took a man into custody for questioning.
He has since been released and the investigation is ongoing.

Liang is described as Asian, five-foot-three, 120lbs, with black shoulder-length hair, and she wears glasses.
She reportedly worked as a cashier in a Chinese grocery store in Vancouver.
Investigators said they do not believe the public are at risk. It is unclear whether anyone is in custody in the case.
Cops have asked to public for any information about Liang’s movements and activities in the days leading up to her disappearance.
