The British actress who plays Princess Margaret in the hit TV series The Crown has revealed sex scenes were cut from the show because they were ‘too titillating’.
Vanessa Kirby, 29, plays the Queen’s sister in the show and has given a detailed insight into life in front of the camera.
She revealed that two scenes which contained explicit content were deleted and did not make it on the show and said: ‘No one wants to see royal boob.’
The actress, from Wimbledon, south west London, was appearing as the first guest on a new podcast made by journalist Dolly Alderton, called Love Stories.
Vanessa Kirby was wearing a bra in the second series of the popular show and she has revealed that some scenes had to be toned down

She was asked about how she feels about sex scenes and she said a number of raunchy scenes were toned down, reports the Evening Standard.
Speaking on the podcast, Ms Kirby, said: ‘There was one (sex scene) written in The Crown, in episode seven of this season.
‘We had long discussions about what it should be, and it just became clear that to titillate was not the aim. With Margaret, I was like, ‘no one wants to see royal boob, not really’.”
She added that the particular scene did not make it on to the show and was scrapped along with a different one which showed sex with ‘lots of different positions’.
Ms Kirby also revealed that some erotic scenes featuring the Queen, played by Claire Foy and Prince Philip, Matt Smith, were supposed to be more explicit.
She added: ‘There was a sex scene between Elizabeth and Philip in the first season.
‘I think they were in South Africa filming, and they were like “I just don’t think anyone wants to see the Queen having sex”.’

The second series of the popular show was released in December last year and explored the colourful private life of the Queen’s only sibling.
Margaret was the younger daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
In the second season, Ms Kirby stated: ‘I know who I am, a woman for the modern age. Free to live. Free to love and free to break away.’
Margaret was also seen dancing in just her bra in her bedroom, locked in a tryst with a man, straddling him on a chair, and posing for a naked photo shoot.
