Vic bus drivers won’t strike on Friday

Hundreds of Victorian bus drivers won’t take a fourth day of strike action on Friday.

The Transport Workers Union has told CDC Victoria, the drivers’ employer, that industrial action for better pay will no longer go ahead as planned.

“As such, all CDC Victoria services will operate as normal,” CDC said in a statement on Wednesday.

Workers have been calling for a four per cent wage rise and one per cent super increase but it’s not yet known if an agreement has been reached or why the industrial action has been cancelled.
