Vicky Pattison shared the emotional moment her beloved grandfather reunited with her mother Caroll for the first time in a year.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the former Geordie Shore star, 33, uploaded her mother and grandad David singing along to You Are My Sunshine.
While her mum visited her grandfather, Vicky took part in a 5K memory walk for the Alzheimer’s Society alongside her boyfriend Ercan Ramadan.

In the video, David sat in a wheelchair and grasped his daughter Caroll’s gloved hand as he became overcome with emotion as he joined in the classic tune.
Vicky captioned the video, which has been viewed almost 300,000 times, with: ‘We remember their love when they no longer can. This is the first time my mam has sat with her dad, my Granda David, in over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘They’ve now both been vaccinated and as you can see are still taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of themselves and all the other lovely residents of my granda’s care home.

‘Aren’t they both wonderful? I know the last 12 months have been incredibly difficult for us all and there are loads of people out there missing their loved ones & their relatives terribly at the moment and I just wanted to give you some hope.
‘The world is slowly opening up and we can all feel better days are coming.
‘There is finally light at the end of the tunnel and it’s a beautiful feeling when it hits your face.’

The star described David as a huge fan of music who is the ‘life and soul’ of any party and the ‘beating heart’ of her family, adding: ‘And that is a memory no disease can take from me.’
Vicky also reached out to followers whose lives and families had been impacted by the disease to offer sympathy and support.
The reality star honoured her beloved grandad on Saturday by taking part in a 5k memory walk with her handsome beau Ercan.
And the fresh-faced couple looked happy as ever on their charitable stroll, posing for a picture in matching blue t-shirts for the Alzheimer’s charity.
Vicky captioned the snap: ‘A good relationship is when someone accepts your past, supports your present and encourages your future.
