She doesn’t Wannabe a part of it: Mel C, left, has revealed that all plans for a Spice Girls reunion are now off, after bandmate Victoria, right, doesn’t want to take part in it
Spice Girls fans could talk of nothing else when the five-piece teased their future reunion on social media.
But Mel C, 44, revealed their plans come to a grinding halt after the designer flat out refused to go on tour in an interview with The Sun.
The singer told the newspaper: ‘Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time. I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky.’
Battling it out? Mel C’s revelation comes days after it was claimed that Geri and Victoria were at loggerheads over their planned reunion (London, in June 2017)
‘It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time. It was just getting together to reignite all the things that we have had together and to work with Simon [Fuller].’
Addressing rumours that the Wannabe singers would be performing at London Pride, she added: ‘That would be a very fitting place for the Spice Girls to reform but unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year.’
MailOnline previously contacted representatives for Victoria Beckham for comment.
In February – when the Spice Up Your Life hitmakers reunited at Geri’s home – Victoria teased that ‘exciting’ times were ahead.
‘Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower,’ she wrote alongside a snap of the group.
