Victoria Beckham fuels speculation the Spice Girls will reunite for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Victoria Beckham adds to speculation the Spice Girls will reunite for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee after signing papers she is still part of girlband

She couldn’t take part in the Spice World 2019 Tour due to fashion commitments.

But Victoria Beckham, 47, has fuelled speculation she is set to join a Spice Girls reunion for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June by signing confirmation papers she is still part of the band.

It was recently reported the best-selling girl group of all time have been invited to reunite for a celebratory concert to mark the momentous occasion by BBC bosses.

And Posh Spice filed documents this week with Companies House confirming she will be an active director of Spice Girls Ltd for at least another year.

‘If she wanted to quit the band and had no wish to perform again then she’d have resigned as a director last week,’ a source told the Sun.

‘She’d still obviously get her cut of record sales but wouldn’t be involved in any decision-making like going on tour or performing.

‘Victoria signing the confirmation papers as a director for another year shows she’s still an active member of The Spice Girls.’

MailOnline has contacted Victoria’s representatives for comment.

It comes after Sporty Spice Mel C, 48, said Geri Horner, 49, was the one to ‘ask’ regarding a comeback for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

According to The Sun, Melanie, who is currently on a solo tour, told the crowd at London’s St. John’s Church over the weekend that the plans have not been discussed between the five of them.

When asked if they would be accepting the BBC’s offer, the pop singer replied: ‘You’re going to need to ask Geri about that one. We have not discussed it yet.’

As reported by the publication, the decision is ‘now in the hands of the girls.’

BBC will stage and broadcast a special live concert from Buckingham Palace on June 4 to celebrate The Queen’s seven decade reign.

It would be the first time all five singers have performed on stage since the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012, after Victoria declined the chance to rejoin the band for their 2019 reunion tour.

‘BBC bosses are determined to put on a show to remember and what band is more iconic than the Spice Girls,’ a source said.

‘The invitation has been made and it’s now in the hands of the girls.

‘It’s no secret they regret turning down a similar opportunity for the Diamond Jubilee and they all have a deep respect for the Royal Family and the Queen.’

MailOnline approached the BBC and a representative for the Spice Girls for comment at the time.

It comes after the Spice Girls reportedly shelved plans for more future gigs and an animated movie after their sold out Spice World – 2019 Tour.
