Victoria Beckham is told she’s ‘not going to age anymore’ with laser skin treatment

Victoria Beckham has been told that she’s ‘not going to age anymore’ after ‘stopping the clock’ with laser skin treatment.

The fashion designer, 48, took to Instagram on Saturday to reveal that she had recently undergone resurfacing at Ghavami Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles.

Laser resurfacing is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment which aims to remove fine lines, wrinkles, tighten skin and even out discolouration.

Victoria spoke about her non-surgical treatment with Doctor Ghavami in a video uploaded to social media, where he assured her she is ‘literally not going to age’.

Speaking about Victoria’s treatment, he said: ‘I mean, we’re not only looking at turning the clock back, we’re stopping it now. So you’re literally not going to age anymore, and you’re set.’

To which Victoria said: ‘I mean, how good does that sound? Wow.’

Elsewhere in the video, Victoria shared that she had undergone both 500nm and 2000nm wavelength laser on her skin to regenerate and tighten it.

Dr Ghavami said he had given the Spice Girl a combination of semi-ablative treatment, where the skin’s surface is slightly injured to regenerate it, and light therapy to target reds and pigments.

Speaking about how it works, he said: ‘Victoria is what we call a great canvas to start with, she has great bone structure, good skin. What the bone structure does is, first of all the skin is draped over and is tented over bone structure.

‘When you laser it or when you do any treatment that tightens that collagen, it’s going to really be almost boosted. It’s going to have a very powerful effect without a lot of effort.’

Victoria shared that she was so impressed with her first laser treatment that she hopes to have more, along with radio frequency treatment.

‘How my skin looked after that last treatment, it’s never looked so good. That’s why I said now I want to do more,’ she said.

Before opening up about the treatment, Victoria also spoke about how she looks after her skin by eating well, exercising regularly and staying hydrated.

She said: ‘So I talk a lot about skin and what I do to make my skin really the best it can be. I talk so much about how important it is to eat the right healthy fats, to drink enough water, to get as much sleep as you can.

‘I talk a lot about skincare. But recently I was in LA and I had a laser treatment with the amazing Doctor Ghavami and I noticed such a difference with my skin.

WHAT IS LASER RESURFACING?

Laser resurfacing is a facial rejuvenation procedure that uses a laser to improve the skin’s appearance or treat minor facial flaws. It can be done with ablative laser or nonablative laser.

Both methods can be delivered with a fractional laser, which leaves microscopic columns of untreated tissue throughout the treatment area.

It can lessen the appearance of fine lines in the face. It can also treat loss of skin tone and improve your complexion. Laser resurfacing can’t eliminate excessive or sagging skin.

‘And now I want to know more, I want to educate myself more. I want to know more about lasers. What’s available, what I should be doing, as well as my skincare routine, which is so important.’

Alongside the video, Victoria added in an accompanying caption: ‘Our skin is our largest organ, so it’s important we take as much care of it as possible!

‘Earlier this week I had an incredible laser treatment with @DrGhavami @GPSAesthetics, and I’m back with him today to learn more about keeping my skin healthy, nourished and radiant.

Victoria often shares skincare tutorials to her Instagram page and even has her own skincare range as part of Victoria Beckham Beauty.

She is also known for her ‘extreme’ diet after her husband David admitted she ‘only eats grilled fish and vegetables’.

Victoria recently explained that she also fills her diet with ‘healthy fat’, and regularly goes through detoxes where she abstains from drinking alcohol.

‘I eat lots of healthy fat: fish, avocado, nuts, that sort of thing. I do drink alcohol, unless I have a reason not to,’ she said.

Elsewhere, Victoria recently came under fire for sharing a controversial video to Instagram to give an insight into her beauty routine.

The star showed off her own line of cosmetics in the video while explaining to fans that she was ‘make-up free’ at the beginning.

But many of her 30.5million followers took to the comments section to share their disagreement that she was au naturel, with one penning: ‘No make-up but 27 filters’.

Filming herself before applying any beauty products, Victoria told the camera: ‘So, I’m here in Paris and I’ve just got out of the shower.

‘I’ve got no make-up on, just my power serum on and my cell rejuvenating moisturiser, so my skin is prepped.’

But many fans didn’t believe the former Spice Girl, as one wrote: ‘She’s my absolute hero and has been since SG’s .. but yes no make up but 27 filters.’

‘I love you but foundation concealer and powder are make up my darling. Ding dong,’ wrote another.
