It’s said that while the meeting took place at Geri’s home, Mel C suggested to the group that they could sign some new acts themselves as part of their big comeback.

‘They are all genuinely excited!’ Spice Girls reunion plans are leaning toward ‘a full-scale tour and a record label’… as girl group ‘have been in constant contact’ since recent London meeting
The Sun reports that Mel’s suggestion ‘went down very well because they are all excited about backing up-and-coming talent, possibly even new girl bands’.
A source told the publication: ‘This reunion is all about securing the Spice Girls legacy, and their own company could be one way to do that.’
The source also revealed that since Friday, the reunion has developed from what was thought to just be a project concerning ‘endorsements and TV shows’ into the possibility of performing on stage together again.
‘After the meeting there is growing confidence about a full-scale tour, at the end of this year or early next year,’ the source went on. ‘Mel C still needs to be convinced but Victoria is on board for the moment.

‘They’ve been in constant contact on WhatsApp and on the phone since the first meeting and are all genuinely excited.’
In the wake of the anticipation of the reunion, Emma has also teased details of the five-piece’s meeting, during her radio show on Heart alongside co-host Jamie Theakston, revealing that there’s ‘exciting things to come’.
The Holler songstress discussed how it had been six years since they had all been in the same room together and now on the same page she added that they’re focused on new ‘opportunities’ and spreading some ‘girl power’.
Excitement: Emma Bunton, 42, has teased about the five-piece’s highly-awaited reunion during her radio show on Heart, revealing that there’s ‘exciting things to come’
‘It’s been a long time,’ she began. ‘Obviously, we’ve seen each other individually, but actually all together in one room was at the Olympics. It was just like, Friday, we thought we would all catch up, everyone was in town, let’s do this, let’s catch up.
‘But I don’t think any of us were expecting, we had such a lovely afternoon. We sat down, we had lunch together, we sat round.
Adding: ‘We reminisced about the old times, we were talking about the kids, it was lovely.
‘And then we all sat around Geri’s table and we got takeaway in, got sushi and some salads and drank tea and a little bit of prosecco, and it was just so lovely to see everyone. I loved it, really good fun.’

In 2017, Emma along with Geri Horner and Mel B were set to embark on a new musical venture under the name GEM but plans to make their mark on the charts were halted as Geri welcomed her son Montague in January.
With reports that they could each make up to £10 million, Emma’s co-host Jamie joked if it was the money that convinced Mel C and Victoria Beckham to join them but the Maybe songstress insisted that they want to spread some ‘girl power’.
He asked: ‘So last year, three of you were really keen, two of you not so keen. What was it about the £10 million that made them change their minds?’

To which, she answered: ‘Oh ha ha ha. No, again, being together and figuring things out, there’s lot of opportunities for us especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world.’
After causing mass hysteria with their social media shot, Emma wouldn’t confirm if there is a tour or new record on the cards as she shared that their get-together got cut short as they needed to pick up their children.
She said: ‘Not yet. The main thing was that we sat together and have gone, “Right, there’s things, there’s opportunities here, are we all in?” So exciting things to come.
‘What that is yet, we need another kind of sit down, because we were chatting for hours and then we were like, “Oh we’ve got to pick the kids up! Quick!”

Continuing: ‘It was hilarious because I was there and obviously got pictured coming out, lots of paparazzi and then the next minute I’m sitting in a church hall in Barnet and I’m waiting for my sons. He got his little certificate for his disco dancing!’
Her candid comments come as moments after they were seen leaving Geri’s Hertfordshire property, Victoria all but confirmed they were concocting plans of a reunion by uploading several snaps of the five-some to her Instagram page – defying any naysayers that think she’s uninterested in working with the band again.
‘The old team back together!’ Mel C previously explained that she and the other girls had seen one another individually or in smaller groups since London 2012, but was glad to reunite with Simon Fuller
‘Officially we never broke up!’ The Spice Girls released their third and (thus far) final album Forever in 2000, toured the world again in 2007/08 and sung out the London Olympics in 2012
To follow up on this, Mel C, 44, has teased even more details of the gathering and what it might mean for the iconic girl group.
Emma’s candid comments comes as the long-awaited £50m Spice Girls reunion was finally confirmed as the legendary girl band were seen as a five-piece for the first time in six years last week.
Geri celebrated the enormous news by posting a sweet pic of all five stars on her Instagram page, captioning the snap: ‘Lovely seeing the girls #girlpower is alive and well’.
Following the meeting, the Spice Girls released a statement to MailOnline that read: ‘We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls.

‘The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.’
Victoria shared the already-famous picture of them as a five-piece on Instagram shortly afterwards, writing the caption: ‘Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting!’ The rest of the girls followed suit and uploaded their own group snap from the day.
Since 2012, the girls have each addressed reunion rumours, with a real thirst for a comeback in 2016 on the 20th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe’s release.
Each Spice Girl – known also as Scary, Ginger, Posh, Baby and Sporty – has revealed that the time hasn’t been right, with the likes of Victoria launching her eponymous fashion label, Geri having another baby, Mel C releasing solo music and Emma and Mel B taking on radio and TV projects.
But much to fans’ delight, it seems the time is now.
