Supercars driver Dave Reynolds has admitted he’s punching above his weight as his ex-grid girl partner becomes a Miss Universe contender.
Tahan Lew-Fatt, a contestant on TV’s Big Brother, was announced as a Miss Universe Australia Victorian finalist last week.
‘I’m the captain of the batting-above-your-average team. I might be a Commodore but she is a Ferrari,’ Reynolds told the Daily Telegraph.

Reynolds and Ms Lew-Fatt met at a race in 2012.
Since then their relationship survived a surprise face-time call from Justin Bieber.
The Canadian megastar called to ask Ms Lew-Fatt to a concert.
‘It was a bit weird and I just stood in the background looking like an idiot. Luckily she didn’t end up leaving me,’ Reynolds said.
Dave Reynolds currently drives the number 9 Holden ZB Commodore in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
