She will soon be walking down one of the industry’s most lucrative runways in front of an estimated five million people worldwide.
And just months before she makes her Victoria’s Secret runway debut, New Zealand model Maia Cotton, 19, has shared exactly what she eats in a day to stay in peak condition.
It all starts with a black coffee and a morning ‘shake’ that contains an unusual $68.55 protein powder.

With this kind of scrutiny there is a lot of pressure to look your best and now she has shared her day on a plate
‘For breakfast, I have a breakfast shake which is one tablespoon of almond butter, one cup of unsweetened almond milk, one scoop of Moon Juice Chocolate Adaptogenic Protein, and one scoop of collagen peptides,’ she told Husskie.
Maia has this almost every day before a 9am workout session with her trainer.
If she’s hungry by mid-morning she will snack on either a handful of nuts, 85 per cent dark chocolate, or a Bulletproof Collagen Protein Bar.
She usually has lunch at 2pm and often finds herself at Hu Kitchen – a healthy fast-casual restaurant.

She always orders a quarter roast chicken with a side of sweet potato and broccoli.
‘Hu Kitchen also has the best “healthy” brownies – I’ll usually pick one up for later while I’m in,’ she said.
For dinner she rotates between two options and usually whips up ‘something speedy’.

‘Most of the time I have two, maybe three, scrambled eggs, half an avocado, and some grilled halloumi,’ she said.
Option two is broiled salmon, half an avocado, kale or spinach, roast vegetables and a drizzle of olive oil.
Maia ends the day with a Hu Kitchen brownie or dark chocolate for dessert and a peppermint tea before her 10.30 bed time.
