  • YouTuber Viva Frei decided to cut open one of his children’s rubber bath toys
  • He found unsightly black mould was lurking inside it at home in Canada
  • He warned that children often drink from these toys and spray water from them

Shocking footage shows how black mould can grow and lurk undetected inside children’s rubber toys.

YouTuber Viva Frei decided to cut open one of his children’s rubber bath toys to show the mould that developed inside it at home in Canada.

‘That black stuff is mould, in bath toys that children play with and sometimes drink the water out of,’ he warns as he shows the unsightly black growth lurking inside the rubber toy.

The NHS reports that children are particularly sensitive to mould and should avoid it.

Moulds produce allergens, irritants and, sometimes, toxic substances.

Inhaling or touching mould spores may cause an allergic reaction, such as sneezing, a runny nose, red eyes and skin rash. Moulds can also cause asthma attacks.
