Video shows Hilton stabbing victim partying with professional boxer in hotel’s presidential suite

The 20-year-old woman left with a three-inch gash in her neck was filmed dancing in the presidential suite of a five-star hotel just before her throat was slashed during a boozy birthday party, MailOnline can reveal today.

The victim, who hasn’t been named, was seen hours later staggering out of the Hilton in Manchester covered in blood before flagging down police on Deansgate and collapsing.

Footage of her dancing in the hotel’s £665-a-night presidential suite yesterday was posted by Manchester boxer Joe Eko, who is believed to have been celebrating his 26th birthday in a joint party with his 17-year-old girlfriend.

In his video the friends are laughing and singing along to music next to a table covered in bottles of alcohol at around 4am.

At 11am the woman, still wearing the white Hilton dressing gown she danced in, was filmed clutching her neck with blood-covered hands. She was rushed to hospital for treatment and discharged last night.

Armed police flooded the five-star hotel where they stayed on the 23rd floor and arrested six suspects including two sisters, aged 17 and 20, on suspicion of attempted murder.

Five of the six have been bailed with one man, aged 20, still in custody being questioned over the throat slashing.

Mr Eko, a 26-year-old professional boxer from Oldham with the nickname ‘dangerous Joe’, also posted an Instagram video to his 2,000-plus followers appearing to show himself in police custody shortly before his release under investigation this morning.

The 17-year-old woman arrested in her pink silky pyjamas is believed to be his girlfriend and was photographed as she was walked to a police van by an officer carrying her handbag.

Her law student sister, wearing jeans and flip-flops, was paraded in handcuffs minutes later. Both were seen dancing in the video with the girl later attacked.

They had been staying together at the £150-a-night hotel after a night out to celebrate the teenager’s birthday and are believed to have met the four men while partying.

They posted pictures of themselves posing with bottles of champagne on their night out at an exclusive Manchester cocktail bar.

Before that they had been for a meal at the city’s exclusive San Carlo Italian restaurant where they downed Prosecco.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said crime scenes ‘are now in place in one of the hotel rooms and outside the hotel itself’ – but said the attack is not believed to be terrorism related.

A spokesman said: ‘Four men, aged 20, 24, 26 and 26 and two women, aged 17 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

‘They are all in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing’.

Anthony Hilton, who works in a nearby letting agents, said a woman who appeared to have had her throat cut had been taken away in an ambulance.

‘One of our colleagues walked past. He saw a woman on the floor with a large slash across the throat.’ said Mr Hilton, 32, from Manchester.

He added: ‘She was in hysterics, she was moaning and screaming’.

He described the woman as being in her thirties but could not comment on her condition as she was taken away.

‘There must have been 15 undercover and normal police cars out in the street. Police were running to and fro from the car park and the Hilton Hotel,’ he said.

Witnesses said on social media the victim ran screaming into street and that the three men were arrested shortly afterwards.

Officers could be seen speaking to other guests and hotel staff in one of the bars of the Hilton, which occupies part of the 47-floor Beetham Tower, which is described by its developers as the tallest residential building in Europe and the seventh tallest building in England.

An artist, Sasha Ray, 42, who works in a nearby furniture store, said: ‘I saw a guy being arrested and a young lady in the corner of the car park across the road.

‘She was lay down on the floor, and her legs were moving up and down as if she was having a fit.’

An employee of estate agents Homes4u said: ‘There was a woman who had run out of the Hilton and into the car park a few doors away’.

Landlord of nearby The Deansgate pub John Anderson, said: ‘We saw a man in his thirties being arrested and taken away in a van around 11.45.

‘There were paramedics dealing with her at the car park. The first responders arrived within minutes, then an estate car with paramedics came.

‘An ambulance van arrived after a while. It was hard to tell how many paramedics and police there were but there were a lot.

‘It’s worrying when you hear someone has had their throat slashed, you automatically assume the worst and don’t know how serious the incident will become.’

A solicitor, who passed the scene at around 11:20am on their way to the law courts and asked not to be named, said: ‘I was driving past at around 11.20am and stopped at the lights to turn left on to Liverpool Road.

‘There was no cordon or anything but about 2 or three police vehicles.

‘The woman was lying on her front in the small car park opposite the hotel. A few people were attending to her including policemen.’

A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service earlier today said: ‘We got a call at 11.12am.

‘We are still on the scene at the moment. We are treating a female patient.

‘Police are also on the scene.’
