An elaborate alleged Brazilian cartel scheme to assassinate a Paraguayan prosecutor on May 10 was caught on surveillance footage, according to Colombian prosecutors.

Five suspects, Marisol Londoño, her son Cristian Monsalve, Wendre Carrillo, Eiverson Arrieta and Francisco Correa were taken into custody in Medellín last Friday.

All of the suspects except Correa pleaded guilty to the execution of Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci in Columbia on May 10.

Authorities say the assassinate squad initially met on May 5 at a marketplace in Medellín to go over the plot that was ordered by the First Capital Command, the most powerful cartel in Brazil that also happens to have a large presence in the Paraguay prison system.

Pecci was reportedly prosecuting a drug and money laundering case that culminated with the extradition of a Lebanese national and two other men who were also sent to the U.S. on extradition requests, which authorities say may have also been related to the cartel.

Londoño, Monsalve, Carrillo and Arrieta all traveled to Cartagena on May 6 while and Correa remained in Medellín to coordinate the attack.

The surveillance video shows Londoño and Monsalve completing the check-in process at the Decameron Hotel, which was the same resort where Pecci was celebrating his honeymoon with his journalist wife, Claudia Aguilera, in Isla Barú.

The alleged assassins booked three nights on May 9.

Then, according to prosecutors, they provided constant information on the Pecci’s movements and monitored his social media.

Londoño reportedly called Correa more than three dozen times.

On May 10, Londoño and her son walked towards an area on the private beach, with the mother entering the water while her son snapped several photos of her as she posed in her bathing suit.

Moments later, Londoño was caught on video waving her hands at Carrillo and Arrieta, who were in the waters riding a jet ski they had rented.

Carrillo and Arrieta later arrived at the beach and approached Pecci and Aguilera before Carrillo shot the prosecutor once in the face and once in the head.

Just hours before the killing, Pecci had posed with Aguilera on the beach, setting a pair of baby sneakers across the sand and announcing on his wife’s Instagram account that they were expecting their first child.

Colombian prosecutors say Correa masterminded the attack. El Tiempo newspaper reported that Correa was a former Army soldier.

A sixth suspect, identified as Gabriel Carlos Salinas Mendoza, reportedly fled the country and is in Venezuela, Colombia National Police director General Jorge Luis Vargas said on Tuesday.

An Interpol Blue notice has been issued for his arrest.

The killers were allegedly paid $500,000 for carrying out the attack.
