Viewers left ‘screaming at their TVs’ at Jamie and Rebekah

Friday evening’s edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! left fans of the show ‘screaming at their TVs’ as they watched Jamie Lomas and Rebekah Vardy painfully make their way through the latest Bushtucker Trial.

The pair were tasked with Grot Holing – which saw them go into a cave with two identical tunnels leading in opposite directions, one in darkness and one lit up.

Jamie, in the dark tunnel, had to listen to the voice of Rebekah as she guided him through; but he also had to find an immunity key to save someone from elimination.

‘This is adding stress to my life!’ Viewers are left ‘screaming at their TVs’ as Jamie Lomas and Rebekah Vardy struggle through ‘the most frustrating Bushtucker Trial in history’

Yet his attempts at taking the key was frustratingly fruitless as he nearly grabbed it repeatedly, only to eventually exit the tunnel without it.

This left viewers raging at home while watching on their televisions.

Taking to Twitter, a flurry of viewers took their frustrations out on the social media site.

One person typed: ‘Currently screaming the word KEY at my screen. Hope my neighbours are watching or they’ll think I’ve lost it!’

‘Watching this trial is so frustrating! Jamie just turn and feel for the bloody key!’ another wrote, as a third posted: ‘Never wanted someone to get a key so bad!! Sooo tense!! #key how many chances!’

‘Jamie realising that the key is there is adding more stress on to my life,’ someone else wrote, followed by another who posted: ‘Jamie is acting like a mum trying to use a laptop.’

Others posted ‘This is painful,’ and ‘LITERALLY SCREAMING AT MY TV!!! JAMIEEEE!’

The duo on the trial had to get in a tunnel each and make their way from one end to the other collecting stars as they went.’

Before going in, Ant and Dec explained: ‘There are 11 in there, the first 10 are split evenly in each tunnel but then when it comes to the 11th star you’ll need to work together as a team to get that one.

‘The stars in both tunnels are in exactly the same place so it’s up to the person in the lit tunnel to communicate to the person in the dark tunnel and tell them exactly where they are.’

Tough: Jamie, in the dark tunnel, had to listen to the voice of Rebekah as she guided him through; but he also had to find an immunity key to save someone from elimination

Rats were in the tunnel and the first star was hidden behind a Perspex casing on the wall that needed to be unscrewed in eight places. Becky started to give Jamie instructions so they could do it at the same time. Jamie was struggling to find the screws in the dark and also had crickets and cockroaches fall on him.

They both managed to get their star and moved further along the tunnel where this time the stars were connected to a maze puzzle. Jamie didn’t realise he’d crawled past the immunity key which was hanging up on some rope from the roof ceiling much to Ant and Dec’s frustration. Both managed to get their stars and move along the tunnel. Jamie was covered in molasses.

Jamie struggled to find the next star and understand the instructions Becky was giving him which meant they were losing valuable time and eventually the klaxon sounded and the game was over.

8/11 ain’t bad: Ant and Dec confirmed they got eight stars for camp

What went wrong? Dec turned to Jamie and asked him what happened with the immunity key. 'I just couldn’t find it, I was searching everywhere,' said Jamie

Ant and Dec confirmed they got eight stars for camp which they were pleased with.

‘As you know after yesterday’s Trial, Toff and Amir didn’t return. Today only one of you will return,’ Dec then said. ‘The person returning to camp out of the two of you is Becky.’

Dec turned to Jamie and asked him what happened with the immunity key. ‘I just couldn’t find it, I was searching everywhere,’ said Jamie.

‘It was hanging on a rope from the ceiling and you went past it, knocking it with your arm and your back,’ said Dec.

‘You’re joking, I couldn’t see anything,’ an exasperated Jamie said.
