Viewers slam Sunrise for focusing on Elsa Pataky’s marriage instead of her acting career

She’s an accomplished Hollywood actress, whose acting career spans over 20 years.

But Elsa Pataky, 42, was reduced to the title of ‘Chris Hemsworth’s wife’, ahead of her appearance on Sunrise on Wednesday, leaving viewers outraged.

Critics vented their frustration on Twitter after the show’s hosts Samantha Armytage and Natalie Barr referred to the Fast and Furious 5 star as ‘Chris Hemsworth’s wife’ at least five times on the show.

‘We’re rolling out the red carpet for a morning of big names – Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, ‘Home and Away’ star Charlotte Best and Chris Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky, live on Sunrise,’ Samantha said.

Viewers took to Twitter to criticise the introduction.

‘Can you not call Elsa Pataky who’s an actress in her own right ‘Chris Hemsworth’s wife’,’ one viewer tweeted.
