Viewers tell Karl Stefanovic to ‘grow up’ after he opens a bottle of beer with his teeth

Karl Stefanovic shocked viewers on The Today Show on Thursday after doing a ‘childish’ act live on-air. 

The Channel Nine presenter had viewers wincing after he opened a beer bottle with his teeth. 

Karl showed off this skill after a segment about Victoria Bitter Beer changing its name to England bitter. 

The name change is a cheeky dig at the English cricket team after they lost to Australia and famously refused to share a beer with the winning team. 

Before opening up the bottle of Victoria Bitter with just his teeth and showing off his talent, Karl said: ‘If you’re a fair dinkum full grown Aussie this is how you open a drink at ten past nine in the morning. GET THAT UP YA.’

His co-presenter Sarah Abo was shocked when she realised what he was doing, pleading with him not to. 

However, he did it so seamlessly that she then quickly added: ‘Oh, he did it! Well done!’ 

Karl then went to take a sip of the beer but then stopped, as the presenters laughed at him as it was not even 10am yet.

The Today Show shared a clip of Karl’s ‘talent’ to Instagram, and fans were quick to comment about how reckless it was. 

One viewer wrote: ‘Karl’s dentist is rubbing his hands together now’.

While another said: ‘That’s how I lost 3 teeth by my 30s- cracking off crowns!’

And a third commented: ‘This is embarrassing.’

‘When is Karl going to grow up?’ another viewer asked.

However, other viewers found Karl’s trick entertaining, with one commenting: ‘Would love to spend the day with Karl on the piss be an absolute cracker!’

Another person defended the TV presenter, writing: ‘Seriously some people need to lighten up, he wasn’t hurting anyone – Chill!’

 While a third viewer said: ‘This is why Karl is the GOAT [greatest of all time].’
