Vikings receiver K.J. Osborn was carted off the field on Sunday vs. the Falcons after taking a brutal hit to the head.

Osborn caught a pass over the middle of the field in the second quarter before he was sandwiched by Atlanta defenders Jeff Okudah and Dee Alford, who both delivered helmet-to-helmet hits.

Okudah was assessed a 15-yard penalty on the play.

Osborn remained down on the turf after the play as his concerned teammates signaled for medical attention.

Players surrounded the fourth-year pro, with some kneeling down in prayer.

Eventually, he was able to able to get up and walk over to the cart under his own power, and gave a thumbs-up signal to the crowd as he sat upright in the back of the cart.

Osborn was hugged by fellow Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson before departing the field.

He was soon ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion.

He had two catches for 17 yards before his day was over.

Earlier in the game, Vikings quarterback Jaren Hall also sustained a concussion.

Making his first NFL start, Hall was injured as he tried to scramble toward the end zone in the first quarter.

He was hit hard at the one-yard line by Okudah and linebacker Kaden Elliss but was able to walk off the field under his own power.

Hall, a rookie out of BYU, was named the starter this week in place of Kirk Cousins, who tore his right Achilles tendon last Sunday.
