Vintage fanatics enjoy a day of motor racing at Goodwood Revival

It’s the famed annual racing festival earmarked in the diaries of vintage fanatics everywhere – and Goodwood Revival revellers didn’t disappoint this year, sporting an array of spectacular period outfits.

From beehives and mini-skirts to fabulous furs, retro army uniforms and old-fashioned driving gear, glamorous guests battled it out to be the best dressed as they attended the second day of the festival near Chichester in West Sussex.

Launched in 1998 to celebrate mid-20th century motorsport, the three-day event has remained virtually unchanged ever since, featuring wheel-to-wheel racing in classic cars surrounded by the fashion and feel of the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

Flamboyant guests showed off their sartorial flair as they soaked up the sights and sounds of the popular festival which honours the golden age of Goodwood Motor Circuit, which was open between 1948 and 1966.

Channelling the 1940s all the way through to the swinging Sixites, A-line skirts, polka-dots, head scarfs, padded shoulders and swing trousers were on full display at the raucous event.

There is no compulsory dress code, however, the festival is a Revival after all and so many guests dress in period style
