The Fairfax County Police in Virginia went out of their way to help a young boy who loves cops celebrate his sixth birthday on Sunday.
An officer from the police department surprised young Benjamin and his sister at the boy’s police-themed birthday party.

They posted four photos on the social media site as they captioned it: ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN! Thank you for inviting us to swing by your police themed sixth birthday party. It was great meeting you and your sister Madeleine, and we had a blast!’
The heartwarming post garnered 68 shares and 1.8k reactions on Facebook.
In one of the photos uploaded by the department a police officer can be seen kneeling on the floor as he poses next to Benjamin who is beaming from ear to ear with his thumbs up.

Despite his excitement with the officer attending his police-themed birthday party, the birthday boy is dressed in pajamas with firetrucks on them.
Another photo shows Benjamin and his sister Madeleine, who is dressed in Hello Kitty pajamas, standing next to the officer as they look mesmerized by something inside his police car.
In a different picture Benjamin can be seen sitting in front of his birthday cake which is decorated with a man in jail on the middle level of the cake and a classic blue rotating emergency vehicle light on top.
