Vivienne Westwood, 76, puts on her kookiest runway to date

She is one of the fashion world’s most kooky designers – with her Avant-garde looks dazzling for decades.

And Dame Vivienne Westwood pulled off what was arguably one of her most wild shows to date on Saturday afternoon during Paris Fashion Week as she clad her models in an array of bizarre ensembles – including bubble wrap hats, hard helmets, curtain poles and duvets.

The 76-year-old fashion icon did not only let the models steal the show, as she was seen storming the runway at the end in a joyous display following the hugely successful unveiling at the breath-taking Le Centorial office block in the northwest of the city.

Success show! Dame Vivienne Westwood pulled off what was arguably one of her most wild shows to date on Saturday afternoon during Paris Fashion Week as she clad her models in an array of bizarre ensembles – including bubble wrap hats, hard helmets, curtain poles and duvets

At the show the celebrated British designer Dame Vivienne covered many of the models’ faces with either slicked locks of hair or splashes of paint. One design featured a satin-like glitzy bodycon frock worn over deep blue tights, with the model completing the look with a beautifully detailed floral robe and powder pink veil.

Dame Vivienne’s weird and wonderful Spring/Summer 2018 designs included hard hats, bubble wrap and head piece plumes which shot more than a metre into the air.

The models appeared in total disarray, with wet hair slathered across their respective faces while lips were painted with metallic paint sitting below totally nude eye-make-up.

One runway star strutted her stuff in a typically bizarre Westwood wardrobe find, which featured copious bundles of green and black material layered over a sophisticated pink tiered skirt.

Another on the catwalk strapped a distinctive harness to her back which supported a frayed structure that injected colour into her otherwise ivory look.

A third flaunted a bold scarlet tiered gown with a breath-taking head-piece that towered high above her head.

Another sported a bizarre belt complete with a gold plate adorned with a cannabis leaf, while a fellow male model’s groin was barely covered up in black sequinned hot pants and an over-sized tee.

By contrast, a female catwalk star had her statuesque physique relatively hidden under an ivory and deep blue Alpine-inspired A-line frock.

Several mannequins were semi-naked for some of their walks, including one who showcased a tiny pair of patterned shorts with a pair of ribbed knee-high socks and a tribal-esque vibrant coloured necklace.

A group of male models worked their outfits with trademark caps in a nod to Dame Vivienne’s husband and partner in designing sartorial successes, Andreas Kronthaler.

Arriving to check out the designs was supermodel Arizona Muse who proved she can turn heads both on and off the catwalk.

The 29-year-old cut an elegant figure outside the event, opting for a striking over-sized quilted blazer with gold buttons, layered over a pretty paisley-patterned monochrome shirt.

She kept the look understated yet classy with sweeping wide fit trousers and chic black heeled boots.

She pulled her blonde bob back behind her neck as she carried a Sonia Rykiel bag – no doubt full of the latest French on-trend items. Arizona also made an appearance at the Years Of MariaCarla party on Friday night.
