High street brands have taken home top prizes in the Vogue Beauty Awards, proving that high quality products don’t always have to cost a fortune. 

Readers of the British fashion bible chose winners across 25 different categories, including ‘Best for Mature Skin’ and ‘Best for Body Transformation’. 

Among the hero products is Garnier Micellar Water Rose Water Cleanse & Glow, which won ‘Budget Beauty Skincare Option’. Handily for cash-strapped beauty buffs, a 400ml bottle costs just £3.45 at Boots.

Another affordable brand makes the cut, L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Sleek Frizz Killer Serum (£8, 100ml) was crowned ‘Best Styling Hair Hero’. 

Unsurprisingly, designer labels also appear on the list. Dyson’s much-talked about Corrale Straightener (£399) won for ‘Best Hair Tool Innovation’ and Jo Malone’s  Lavenderland Collection (£50, 30ml) was named Best Boutique Fragrance.  

Make-up heavyweight MAC saw its Cosmetics Powder Kiss Lipstick in Scattered Petals (£17.50) take home the ‘Best for Directional Make-Up’ title and the company as a whole won the Lifetime Achievement Award for Inclusivity. 

Multi-talented Victoria Beckham also appears on the list, winning ‘New Kid On The Block’. Vogue identified her Smoky Eye Brick (£50) as a hero product.

British Vogue readers were asked to vote for their favourite products across a list of 192 nominees. There were almost 7,000 individual awards cast.

The winners are available in full on the publication’s website and in the August issue of the magazine, available on newsstands on Friday. 

Commenting on the awards, Jessica Diner Beauty and Lifestyle Director of British Vogue, said: ‘We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Vogue Beauty Awards 2020, our annual celebration of the very best the beauty industry has to offer.
