Vogue Williams reveals she ‘rushed’ to have her three children with husband Spencer Matthews

Vogue Williams has revealed she ‘rushed’ to have children with husband Spencer Matthews.

The model, 37, who shares Theodore, four, Gigi, two, and baby Otto, 11 months with the former MIC star, 34, said her ‘baby boom’ was a way of avoiding being pregnant at 40.

She told The Mirror: ‘I think I felt in a rush [to have children so close in age] because I was like, “If I want four kids, I don’t want to be pregnant after 40”.

‘So I was like, “I’d rather just have it all done”. Now I’m thinking I didn’t need to be in that much of a rush.’

Speaking about having three children under the age of five she said: ‘Some people come over and they’re like, “This is hideous! It’s so full on!” But we love the madness. It suits us’.

The revelation comes after Spencer discussed arguing with his wife  as they ‘rev each other up’ when working together their podcast.

The duo are famous for engaging in light-hearted banter on their chatty series.

But Spencer revealed that there are some behind-the-scenes arguments due to their strong opinions and joked he doesn’t always find Vogue’s topics ‘particularly interesting.’

Speaking to Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast on Wednesday, he explained: ‘We do argue from time to time, and the podcast makes it worse because it’s an elevated version of a normal conversation.

‘If you have an opinion, you might make it stronger than you would ordinarily.’

He added: ‘Some of the stuff she wants to talk about, I don’t find particularly interesting, and vice versa, on the podcast I meant! The format is designed to kind of rev each other up!

‘We by no means have the most perfect relationship but we are best friends, and we spend a lot of time together, but of course we argue from time to time.

‘The podcast can often be that moment when we have to come back together, so it’s like “we know that we’re recording at two so shall we just park the argument?” otherwise it will make for a pretty bad episode.’

It comes after Spencer shared an emotional photograph of a memorial to his late brother Michael on Mount Everest, which has been covered in prayer scarves by strangers.

Michael Matthews died at the age of 22 in 1999 while climbing Earth’s highest mountain, after becoming the youngest Brit to ever reach the summit.

Spencer has been retracing his older brother’s exact steps on a mission to find his body for his Finding Michael film with Disney+.

The former Made In Chelsea star has now revealed that the family set up a cairn, [a man-made pile (or stack) of stones raised for a purpose], dedicated to Michael when they couldn’t find his body on the Thukla Pass in Chukla Lare.

The Pass hosts over 100 memorials to those who have lost their lives in the mountains.

Spencer shared a remarkable photo to Instagram, showing the memorial when it was first established in 1999 – and how it looks today, with dozens of prayer scarves left there by strangers.

Wearing a baby blue fleece, hat and gloves to protect himself from the elements, the reality star stood beside the memorial, in awe of the many who so kindly left a tribute to his brother.

Alongside the post he wrote: ‘On the trail to Everest you arrive at Thukla Pass in Chukla Lare, home to a collection of stupas (cairns), memorialising some of those taken by the mountain.

‘Shortly after Michael died and in the absence of a body, we had one built for him so that he could be remembered on this beautiful path.

‘Last year I visited Mike’s to find it completely covered in prayer scarves. Swipe for what it looked like back in 1999.’

Michael’s body has never been recovered and his family have never been able to fully understand what happened to him.

Finding Michael, which is is now streaming on Disney+, shows Spencer’s emotional quest to find his late brother’s body with adventurer Bear Grylls and record-breaking mountaineer Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja.

During the film, Spencer, who was just 10 years old when his brother died, undertook a ‘gut-wrenching’ mission to climb Everest to find his brother’s body, retracing the ‘exact steps’ his sibling took when he died.

Listen to Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, weekdays from 6am – 10am across the UK on air and on Global Player.
