WA husband questioned by police after wife is found dead

An 85-year-old man is being questioned by police after the sudden death of his wife in Alexander Heights on Wednesday. 

The 83-year old was found dead in her Alexander Heights home on Wednesday morning after an unknown caller prompted officers to visit the property.

It is understood the couple’s children arrived at the home on Brompton Place just before officers arrived, WA Today reported.

The property has been cordoned off and is now being treated as a crime scene. 

The elderly man is believed to have been suffering from cancer while his wife was living with dementia. 

Neighbours told 9 News the couple had occupied the home for around 30 years.

The circumstances of the woman’s death are still being investigated and her husband is assisting police.
