Confronting footage has emerged of a violent struggle between police and a teenager during a dramatic arrest at an out of control party. 

The ugly confrontation occurred after more than 100 guests were moved on after an end of school celebration in Perth was shut down on Friday night.

Police were called to a home in Rockingham the city’s south-west following noise complaints about the wild party.

Footage of the incident obtained by Seven News show two officers struggling with a teen during an arrest while trying to pull him into the back of a police van.

They dragged him to the ground when an officer appears to punch the restrained teen several times in the head.

 ‘That’s police brutality bro,’ a teen can be heard yelling in the footage.

WA Police has stood by the officers’ actions, which they described as ‘reasonable force’ and that ‘open hand tactics’ were often necessary, Seven News reported. 

Police have since vowed to investigate the arrest further after footage of the incident emerged.

Three juvenile cautions were issued and six people were arrested.
