Wahlburgers in Sydney: Inside the restaurant and menu

Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg has opened Australia’s first Wahlburgers family restaurant in Sydney’s Circular Quay.

The popular American restaurant chain has partnered with the Mustaca family who own United Cinemas – Australia’s largest independent cinema chain.

‘I am excited to be working with the Mustaca family and bringing Wahlburgers to Australia. I love all the things we have in common especially family, film, restaurant experience and music,’ Wahlberg said.

The restaurateur added, ‘I’m really looking forward to visiting with my brothers and Wahlburgers co-founders, Chef Paul Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg.’

The CEO of United Cinemas, Sam Mustaca, confirmed that multiple other Wahlburgers restaurants are scheduled to open around Australia and in New Zealand. ‘The first Wahlburgers is close to our United Cinemas Opera Quays and we plan to roll out 20 more as stand-alone restaurants.’

Other Australian locations will include Melbourne, Perth, and Brisbane.

‘We’ve been following the concept for years and with its natural ties to the entertainment industry, bringing Wahlburgers into the experience at United Cinemas just seemed like a perfect fit,’ said Mustaca.
