Over 80 people flocked to the two-bedroom, 89 square-metre home’s first public inspection at 3/46 Cambridge Street in Stanmore on Saturday afternoon.  

McGrath real estate agent Adrian Tsavalas said the heritage-style property which boasts soaring ceilings and an outdoor pool, was his busiest inspection all day.

‘A busy inspection for me usually consists of 15-25 buyers and today was definitely the busiest of the day,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

An open-house in Marrickville attracted 24 people, 29 in Erskineville and 36 in Petersham. 

One prospective first homebuyer told Daily Mail Australia he had got there within five minutes of opening – but the flat was already full.   

‘When we left, there was still a line outside. Just another day in Sydney’s ”cooling” property market,’ he said.   

‘It was listed for $700k and just up the road from the train station – so half of Sydney’s inner west turned out to see it.’

Mr Tsavalas said the ‘very popular’ property will ‘bring back a buyer’s confidence’.

‘We’ve seen the worst of the Sydney housing market in the past couple of years.’ 

An auction of the home will take place on July 20.
