Watch the moment World Cup winner Marco Materazzi FUMES at teammates during seven-a-side soccer game… just days after meeting some of them

World Cup winner Marco Materazzi was seen fuming at his teammates in a 7-on-7 tournament on Wednesday as they suffered their second loss of the day.

Materazzi is in North Carolina for The Soccer Tournament – which offers a $1million prize for the winning team – and is representing his former club Inter Milan along with ex-Serie A star Borja Valero.

And the 2006 World Cup winner had a match to forget vs. Gracie FC, with Materazzi gesticulating towards his teammates and raising his voice during a nightmarish first half for his side, in video taken by Mail Sport.

Playing mostly in defense, Materazzi saw his team go into the break down 4-1, and the former Italy star struggled to conceal his emotions at times as his team fell behind.

On one occasion, he put his head in his hands for several seconds after his team missed a chance at the other end (which he helped set up, in fairness).

Later in the game, after Gracie had taken a 6-4 lead, he shook his head after berating one of his teammates.

For context, Materazzi had not played with most of his teammates prior to Wednesday, and only roughly a third of this temporary Inter squad ever appeared for the club’s first team.

At least two players on the team, Jelani Inyama and Oussama Nacer, appear to be professional content creators and are listed as ‘Inter Friends’ on the team’s roster.

Materazzi managed to find the scoresheet via a penalty kick, but his team ultimately lost 7-4.

The 50-year-old understandably looked his age at times, as he was slow to a challenge and missed the ball before one first-half goal for the opponents.

And he almost played in Gracie again with a nervous back-pass just moments later.

Nonetheless, Materazzi’s reputation was clearly still intact with fans, who lined up for his autograph after the game.

His Inter side will play once more tomorrow but now look unlikely to progress past the group.
