Wayne Cooper and Sarah Marsh to sell spacious Byron Bay mansion less than a year after they moved in

A Byron Bay mansion belonging to fashion designer Wayne Cooper and his wife Sarah Marsh is back on the market less than a year after the couple purchased the luxurious rural estate.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is located on Manse Road in Myocum in NSW’s Northern Rivers region, a short drive from Byron Bay.

The couple purchased the coastal estate, which sprawls across 10 acres, for $5,090,000 last March after the property was originally listed for $5.5million.

The home, which has a rich history of famous owners, boasts a pool, tennis court, club house, media room and spacious entertainment areas.

The estate was originally named ‘King of the Hill’ after the first owner subdivided The Manse Road and awarded himself the best plot of land.

The three-storey mansion boasts 500sqm of space on each level, with picturesque views of Julian Rocks and Mount Warning.

The home has a fireplace and a wraparound balcony leading to a 15metre pool alongside a private garden rich with native botanicals.

The master bedroom encompasses the entire third floor and boasts views of the ocean as well as walk-in wardrobes, an ensuite with a bathtub and a terrace.

The property also has a media room, wine cellar, three-car garage, gazebo, idyllic dam, monolithic Basalt Stonehenge and a 180sqm barn.

The couple moved to Byron Bay after selling their $11.5million home on Carlisle Street in Tamarama, in Sydney’s east, last February.

The Tamarama home has a cinema, double garage and an eight-person lift to carry residents between the four levels of the house.

The five-bedroom home, which was briefly home to Gerard Butler when he filmed Gods of Egypt in Sydney in 2015, was listed with a price guide of $10.5million.

The couple purchased the four-storey home for $5.5million in 2011. They listed the property 10 years later in September, 2021 for double the price.

The stunning property was sold to AFL team GWS Giants deputy chairman Adrian Fonseca in February, 2022.
