Hiring a wedding photographer or videographer can cost a fortune – but a couple has come up with a simple idea that can save you thousands of dollars on your big day.

Carla Groves and her husband Warwick quietly launched GUESTPIX in June 2022 – after they saw a gap in the market for a private digital photo album – designed for brides, grooms and guests to upload pictures via a QR code.

And for those who might be skeptical – these must-see ‘picture perfect’ event albums curated so far speak for themselves.

Unlike a hashtag, where everything ends up on social media for the world to see, the platform allows everyone at the event to add their photographs, videos and guestbook messages to the private gallery.

As host you have complete control over who has access to each album, so private events are only visible to invited guests.

The brand has rolled out a new ‘Albums’ feature that allows hosts to create separate folders with their own QR code – great for multiple events or organising pictures.

Albums packages come with 12 months of uploads, so you can decide when to open and close albums for easy collection and sharing.

Why this uber-flattering (and unbelievably affordable) wedding dress has everyone talking

After years of designing wedding guest fashion, this Aussie brand has taken a bold step into the bridal world – expanding its offerings to include ‘aisle-ready’ dresses.

And you won’t believe how much they cost.

City Chic has ensured that every dress not only fits perfectly but also enhances the wearer’s ‘curvy’ silhouette

The best part about using the platform? Guests can upload their content straight to the album – without the hassle of downloading any app or signing up to anything.

‘We created a simple-to-use platform that doesn’t require app downloads or guest registrations,’ Warwick said.

Over the past two years since launching, the Adelaide couple has helped thousands of hosts collect pictures and videos from their weddings, birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, bachelor and hens parties, corporate events and more.

‘We’re on a mission to make events truly memorable by capturing your unforgettable moments,’ the pair said.

Prices range from $44 for small gatherings (50 guests), $77 for parties (51-100 guests) to $132 for weddings (101-250 guests).

For larger events like corporate parties (251-500 guests), it’s $242.

The couple wanted to create an easy platform using a simple yet innovative QR code system for photo and video collection.

‘Growing up, our families would love to look through boxes of old photographs as we’d find ourselves reminiscing about the good old days. This nostalgic experience, helps us connect to our past in an authentic way,’ the couple said.

‘It’s with this sense of connection to past moments, the idea for helping others collect special memories from important moments or milestones in their life, made complete sense to us.

‘So, we set out to intentionally design GUESTPIX – a private photo sharing platform designed for you and your guests to collect the best memories using a QR code.’
