A family have revealed their shock after finding an apparent migrant hiding under shopping bags in the boot of their car on their way home from Paris.
Khadija Hussain-Chowdhury, 20, heard movement coming from the back of the car before seeing the boot seemingly close by itself at around 8pm on Saturday.
While her husband paid for petrol at a service station in Calais, France, Ms Hussain-Chowdhury warned her father of the rustling noises coming from the boot.
The man is then said to have jumped out and run off as the trio opened the boot to investigate.
Ms Hussain-Chowdhury and her family believe the man was trying to travel to the UK from France.

Shortly afterwards, a group of men reportedly emerged from the bushes before chasing the family while pelting the car with stones.
Ms Hussain-Chowdhury, an apprentice from East London, told The Sun: ‘A group emerged from the darkness and surrounded the car and started shouting and swearing.
‘They were all laughing and I feared something very bad was going to happen to us. Some of them were being extremely aggressive.
‘I was absolutely terrified we were going to be killed and no one would know what happened to us. It was really intimidating.’
The young woman criticised the French authorities after her family were told the police couldn’t do anything, before referring her to alternative phone numbers.
