Wedding guest is criticised for her ‘inappropriate’ dress selection

‘Attention-seeking’ wedding guest is slammed for her ‘inappropriate’ dress selection for her ex-boyfriend’s ceremony – so is she in the wrong?

  • A wedding guest has been slammed for choosing an inappropriate outfit to wear
  • The woman, who is the groom’s ex-girlfriend, wanted to wear something white
  • Her other options had ‘attention seeking’ feathers on them or a v-neck top
  • Commenters on Facebook were quick to criticise her Asos dress selections

A wedding guest has been heavily criticised online for sharing her ‘inappropriate’ and ‘attention seeking’ dress selections three weeks before she attends her ex-boyfriend’s nuptials.

The anonymous woman, who shared her ideas in a private Facebook group, was inundated with comments about how she was trying to ‘upstage’ the bride.

‘I’m attending a wedding in a few weeks and I can’t decide which dress to get, which is your favourite?’ Her post began.

‘If it helps it’s a pretty formal event and the groom is my ex-boyfriend but we’re still very good friends so I want to make an effort and fit in.’

The three gowns she presented where champagne, pale pink and white in colour and all came from UK-based fashion retailer ASOS.

And while they had sequins and ruffles, so where formal in design, they were considered too ‘flashy’ for a wedding.

'The short fluffy one is not for a formal event, the white one is a ticket for drama and the last one is actually something I'd buy for myself. Guys, I sort of want to be a fly on the wall at this wedding,' said one woman
