Wendy Williams’ former associate DJ Boof says things are ‘going to play out bad’ for TV host … amid alarming behavior in Hot Topics segment

  • In the segment, Wendy, 56, mispronounced the name of singer Adele as ‘Hodele’
  • Williams also seemed to be breathing irregularly in the segment
  • DJ Boof made statement in an Instagram comment

Wendy Williams’ former associate DJ Boof predicted that things are ‘going to play out bad’ for TV host in the wake of a series of strange behaviors displayed by the talk show host, most recently during her Hot Topics segment Friday.

‘Y’all have no idea what’s really going on and everyone there is afraid to speak up because they don’t wanna lose their jobs.. this is going to play out bad.. i feel sorry for the workers and victims,’ DJ Boof said in an Instagram comment.

In the segment, the TV personality, 56, mispronounced the name of singer Adele as ‘Hodele’ while discussing the Grammy-winner’s Saturday Night Live outing and also claimed critics of the singer’s recent weight loss were ‘mealous’ of her.

The latest: Wendy Williams’ former associate DJ Boof predicted that things are ‘going to play out bad’ for TV host in the wake of a series of strange behaviors displayed by the talk show host, most recently during her Hot Topics segment Friday

In both cases, Williams, who also seemed to be breathing irregularly in the segment, acknowledged both of her mistaken pronunciations.

Williams also seemed to go off topic speaking about the Shoe Cam jingle on her program, prompting one of her associates to try and refocus her attention for the TV segment.

Williams, who returned to her studio in her native New York City last month, has made recent gaffes in the form on repeated mispronunciations – she called the coronavirus ‘cornova’ earlier this month and on-air burping.

Following Friday’s segment, she was the focus of concern from many views on social media.

In a YouTube clip of the segment, many viewers expressed concern for the longtime talk show host and New York City native.

One wrote, ‘Something is definitely off this episode. She’s moving really slow and trying to keep it together. She can barely focus.’

Said another: ‘I’m in shock that they would allow this to air,’ adding that she ‘was so uncomfortable for’ the host, who spent time in a sober living facility last year.
