West Coast Eagles young gun charged by police over alleged gross act at a music festival

West Coast Eagles star Reuben Ginbey has been charged by police after he is alleged to have been caught urinating in public at a music event over the weekend.

The Eagles published a statement on their club website which also added that that the 20-year-old defender is alleged to have not complied with directions from the police.

‘The West Coast Eagles advise that AFL player Reuben Ginbey has been charged after urinating in public at a music event on Saturday evening and failing to comply with WA Police directions by not giving his personal details,’ the statement read.

Ginbey, who was recruited to the Eagles from East Perth in the 2022 national draft is now due to appear in court later this month over the matter.

The Eagles added: ‘The Club has advised the AFL and, as the matter is now before the courts, will make no further comment at this time.’

According to Perth Now, Ginbey had been seen training with several of his team-mates at Mineral Resources Park on Monday.

Ginbey has played 40 AFL games for the club since his arrival.
