West Ham target Elye Wahi is set to join RC Lens for £30million, according to reports.

The 20-year-old impressed last season with 19 Ligue 1 goals, including four in 15 minutes during one appearance against Lyon.

David Moyes’ side had emerged as frontrunners to land Wahi after Chelsea had a bid of their own rejected.

The Hammers have been keen to bolster their attack with just under two weeks remaining until the transfer window closes.

Wahi came off the bench in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Le Havre but will not be involved for the visit of Lyon on Saturday as he looks set to join Lens according to Fabrizio Romano.

Meanwhile, West Ham are discussing a £40m bid for Mohammed Kudus of Ajax.

Kudus was linked with a move to Brighton this summer, but the deal failed to materialise.

He played the full 90 minutes in Ajax’s Eredivisie opener last weekend, scoring in a 4-1 win over Heracles.
