Lobb recently finished up his inaugural season with the Western Bulldogs following a tumultuous departure from Fremantle in 2022.

His exit occurred a year after expressing the desire to be traded back to the GWS Giants, where he initially launched his AFL career.

It was also revealed that Lobb had acquired a $1.85 million residence in South Yarra, Melbourne, before the completion of his trade to the Bulldogs.

The confirmation of his move was confirmed in the last minutes of the trade period, accompanied by a surprising revelation that Fremantle coaches had pointed him in the ‘wrong direction.’

His return to Perth for the first game against the Dockers was marked by hostility, with some fans launching a “Lobster Tears” beer.

Nonetheless, Lobb had the last laugh, contributing a goal in the Bulldogs’ victory.
