What a man really found in a McDonald’s hashbrown

  • Customer extracts enough oil from two hash browns to cover two paper bags
  • The Queensland man has sworn off McDonald’s following the experience
  • His post on the Vegans in Australian Facebook page sparked a mixed reaction
  • Another customer discovered halal-friendly bacon was microwaved, not fried

An extra serving of grease with his McDonald’s breakfast left a bad taste in one Queensland man’s mouth.

The shocked customer extracted enough oil from his fat-soaked breakfast on to two McDonalds paper bags following a game of badminton with a friend on Friday.

‘Got two has browns and and tried squeezing some of the oil on to the bag,’ he posted to the Vegans in Australia Facebook page.

‘There was still a lot more I couldn’t get out. Ran out of real estate on my bag and had to use my friend’s bag for the oil. How do people eat this stuff regularly? McDonald’s, see you in a few years.’

The post sparked a mixed reaction on social media.

‘I’ve never seen it that bad,’ one woman wrote.

‘Thanks for putting me off Macca’s forever,’ another posted.

Others weren’t surprised.

‘I don’t know what you expected, they’re deep fried,’ one person posted.

Another added: ‘All I can think about is how sad the poor hashbrown would have looked after you squeezed it to death.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted McDonald’s for comment.

The incident comes after a customer earlier this week described the fast food giant as a disgrace after they discovered halal-friendly bacon was being microwaved instead of fried.
