She has worshipped them since she was a girl – and last night Adele was starstruck as she met the Spice Girls backstage before their final concert.
Adele, 31, met Emma Bunton, 43, and Geri Horner, 46, at Wembley Stadium, and they proved that the tables have turned by proudly posting a picture on Instagram of their meeting with the Someone Like You star.
Miss Bunton and Miss Horner were all smiles before Adele went to watch the final concert of the group’s long-awaited 18-date reunion tour.

Adele had shown her delight when the band announced the tour months ago, posting a photo of herself as a child in front of her Spice Girls posters on her bedroom wall.
She wrote: ‘HA! This is how I feel right now! I AM READY.’ It came after actress Emma Stone – who changed her name from Emily to Emma because of her love of Baby Spice Miss Bunton – met the band before a concert last week.
Before the Spice Girls performed, former member Victoria Beckham – who refused to join the band on the tour – jetted off to Seville with husband David to attend his former Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Ramos’s wedding. Dressed in a white dress from her collection, Posh Spice, 45, saw Ramos tie the knot with TV presenter Pilar Rubio.
