‘What’s better than 1 gift… 2’: Beyonce celebrates her twins Rumi and Sir turning four

She regularly shares opulent photoshoots when she debuts stunning new outfits.

But Beyoncé went in the opposite direction on Sunday when she celebrated the fourth birthday of her twins Rumi and Sir with a modest banner on her website.

‘What’s better than 1 gift… 2,’ the 39-year-old pop icon wrote in a black-and-white banner on her website.

‘Happy birthday Rumi & Sir,’ she added below in larger text.

She’s no stranger to wishing her friends and inspirational figures happy birthdays, though she opted not to include a photo of the young children in this case.

The low-key display is part of a pattern for the singer, who has been more private about her twins than her older daughter Blue Ivy, who turned nine back in January.

Blue has been a regular fixture at basketball games and award shows with Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, 51, though the younger children usually stay home for those outings.

Beyonce revealed that she was expecting twins in a gorgeous photo of herself veiled and caressing her burgeoning tummy that was posted on February 1, 2017.

The image went on to become the most-liked Instagram post for just over a year with an impressive 6.4 million likes.

‘We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes,’ she wrote, crediting it to ‘The Carters.’

The Lion King star received millions more likes in June of that year when she shared a first glimpse of her babies.

She wore a gorgeous violet floral dress and posed in front of a flower display while cradling her snoozing tots in her arms to mark one months since they were born.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z began their relationship shortly after collaborating for his 2002 album The Blueprint 2, and they married in 2008.

Back in 2018, Beyoncé opened up to Vogue about her evolving figure and the physical changes that followed her second pregnancy.

She shared that she was up to 218 pounds at the time she gave birth and that her health had been compromised due to toxemia, which necessitated an emergency C-section.

‘I was in survival mode and did not grasp it all until months later,’ she said of the traumatic ordeal.

‘After the C-section, my core felt different. It had been major surgery. Some of your organs are shifted temporarily, and in rare cases, removed temporarily during delivery. I am not sure everyone understands that. I needed time to heal, to recover,’ she continued.

‘My body went through more than I knew it could,’ the songstress said of the pregnancy in her 2019 documentary Homecoming.

The pregnancy gave the hitmaker a fuller figure, but she wasn’t in an hurry to slim down.

‘To this day my arms, shoulders, breasts, and thighs are fuller. I have a little mommy pouch, and I’m in no rush to get rid of it,’ she admitted.

She contrasted her more zen approach to the follow-up to giving birth to Blue Ivy, which saw her launching a small tour to get back into shape and performing while she was still nursing.

In the fall of 2017, Jay revealed to the Rap Radar podcast how he and Beyoncé chose the instantly iconic names of their twins.

‘Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter,’ he explained. ‘Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir.’
