Hunt for stalker accused of terrorising females with sexually explicit phone calls and sending creepy handwritten letters to their workplaces

  • The stalker also creepily called the same women from a payphone back in May

A white-haired stalker is terrorising women by writing them long, sexual letters.

Police are hunting a predator who delivered 12 letters to four women at businesses across Melbourne.  

The letters are each up to ten pages long and gave the women anxiety, police said.

The man, between 40 and 60 years old, also creepily called the same women from a payphone.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to walking to a payphone in Airport West on May 9 when the most recent call was made.  

A Victoria Police statement read: ‘Fawkner Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating a series of inappropriate letters and phone calls in the Coburg, Torquay and Essendon areas.

‘A number of sexually explicit, handwritten letters were sent to different businesses since January 2018.

‘Recently the offender has been making inappropriate phone calls to female staff members at the same businesses.

‘The calls are believed to have been made from pay phones in the Melbourne and Surf Coast areas but the most recent on 9 May was from Airport West.

‘Investigators have released images and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

‘Anyone who may have any information about the incidents are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.’
