Who are the Glastonbury festival 2023 headliners?

  • Glastonbury’s main stage is probably the peak venue among UK festivals
  •  Elton John is the biggest name of 2023’s edition of the festival
  • Find out who joins him, and who might not quite make it, below

Glastonbury is arguably the biggest festival on the UK summer circuit, so its headliners are always some of the best of the best names in music.

The Pyramid Stage will act as Worthy Farm’s main venue, with some massive names not making the top of the bill there.

Elton John is the biggest name of the lot this year, making his last ever live appearance.

On the flipside, some headliners of the festival’s other stages are not as well known as those further down the order on the main stage.

Find out who the headliners are at Glastonbury 2023 below.

Who is headlining the main stage?

The Pyramid Stage is where the biggest names take their place at Glastonbury, having hosted the likes of Oasis, David Bowie, and Diana Ross, to name a few.

Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys were due to be the headliners on Glastonbury’s main stage to open the weekend on Friday night.

However, after the Sheffield quartet’s lead singer, Alex Turner, had to cancel their last gig before the festival with a case of ‘acute laryngitis’, their appearance at the festival is in doubt.

This could deny the band a third appearance as Glastonbury headliners, and a first for a decade.

Fans have tipped Harry Styles to be the late replacement if such a person is required.

Guns N’ Roses

The Saturday show on the Pyramid Stage is more secure, and is due to be seen off by rock legends Guns N’ Roses.

Formed in 1985, the band, featuring Slash and Axl Rose, have had massive hits which have endured the test of time such as Sweet Child o’ Mine and Welcome to the Jungle.

Elton John

However, the most anticipated appearance will be that of Elton John.

The legend will be making his last ever live appearance of any sort, with his first ever appearance at Glastonbury.

A co-organiser of the famous festival promises ‘the mother of all send-offs,’ and the singer said ‘there is no more fitting way to say goodbye to my British fans.’
