A well-mannered tradie has won praise for taking his muddy shoes off outside a sandwich shop.
A picture of a pair of dirty work boots outside a Subway fast-food outlet in Oxley in Brisbane’s south-west drew admiration from Reddit users last week.
‘Highly respect the tradie who took off his dirty boots before heading into Subway,’ read the caption.

A person claiming to work for a workwear and safety shop said they would give a ‘sneaky discount’ to tradies who remove their dirty boots.
‘I have to vacuum the floor after the filthy buggers who trample dirt and mud all through my shop, so I reward the good ones who are respectful,’ the retail staff member wrote.
Another added: ‘I would hire this guy because he knows how to care about people who like things clean.’
